Duty and Responsibility of the Intern

Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director of office, the intern will:

  • Assist WFP staff in preparing for and attending UN meetings (GA, ECOSOC, SC, etc.).
  • Support country-specific and regional task forces, as well as thematic issues like SDGs, climate change, and nutrition.
  • Help plan and execute WFP-hosted events.
  • Monitor relevant issues, analyze data, and produce reports.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The World Food Programme seeks talented, motivated, and enthusiastic students from all around the world.
  • Candidates enrolled in a Bachelors, Masters or recently graduated from a recognized university.
  • Completed at least 2 years of undergraduate studies.
  • Must have Strong MS Office skills.
  • Excellent English, and writing skills.
  • Preferred: Data visualization, design, and analysis skills.
  • Preferred: International experience.
  • IELTS is not required.
  • Applicants who are sons, daughters, brothers, or sisters of WFP staff members are not eligible.
