Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Candidates must be nationals of FAO Member States.
  •  Education: Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree from an institution listed on the World Higher Education Database (WHED). Write your university name and select your country. If your institute name is available then you are eligible.
  • Recent graduates are also eligible.
  • Language Proficiency: A working knowledge of at least one of the FAO official languages (English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, or Russian) is required.
  • Age: Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years old at the start of the internship.
  • Family Relations: Applicants with immediate family members (parents or siblings) employed by FAO are not eligible.
  • Visa: Successful candidates must be able to obtain a visa to work in the host country.
