For the UN Young Professionals Program 2024, applications are now being accepted. The goal of the UN Young Professionals Program (YPP) is to find bright young professionals from throughout the globe to work for the UN Secretariat as international civil servants. For individuals who pass the entrance exam, the curriculum comprises of a professional development course and an entrance exam. As YPP is intended for novices, prior work experience is not necessary. P-1 or P-2 will be your level.
a P-1 or P-2 level fixed-term contract with the UN Secretariat that lasts for two years. Those with a bachelor’s degree but no prior work experience are eligible for the P-1 level. Those with a master’s degree and no prior work experience, or a bachelor’s degree and two years of work experience, are eligible for the P-2 level. Those who are selected for the role must be open to working at any UN duty location. The Young Professional Program offers an amazing chance to begin working for the UN as a professional. An entrance exam is offered annually. Eligible applicants must pass the exam to be considered for the YPP.

YPPs will be offered a 2-year Fixed contract at P-1 and P-2 Level. After two years, and subject to satisfactory performance, you may be granted a continuing contract.
P1 and P2 are entry-level professional positions at the United Nations and do not normally require any extensive work experience.
Successful candidates must be willing to be placed in a position at any UN duty station or field operation for at least 2 years.

Andorra, Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahrain, Belize, Brunei Darussalam, China, Cuba, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Dominica, Equatorial Guinea, Grenada, Guinea-Bissau, Hungary, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Kiribati, Kuwait, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Libya, Liechtenstein, Malta, Marshall Islands, Micronesia (the Federated States of), Monaco, Nauru, Oman, Palau, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Qatar, Republic of Korea, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Sao Tome and Principe, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Somalia, South Sudan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Tuvalu, United Arab Emirates, United States of America, Vanuatu.
