International students can now apply for the fully funded A*STAR ACIS Scholarship 2026 to pursue a PhD in Singapore. This opportunity is available to both final-year undergraduate students and current graduate students.

Offered by Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research (ASTAR)—a government agency—the ACIS (ASTAR Computing and Information Science) Scholarship is designed to attract both local and international talent to undertake doctoral studies in computing and information science fields.

International recipients are required to complete a three-year service commitment with companies based in Singapore upon finishing the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

• Open to all nationals, including Singaporeans.
• Non-Singaporean applicants must have completed a degree or be on track to complete one.
• Hold at least a Second Upper-Class Honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• Applicants in the final semester of their undergraduate studies are welcome to apply.
• Demonstrate a strong interest in the CIS area.

Service Commitment

There is a 3-year service commitment. Non-Singaporeans must work for 3 years in any Singapore-based company related to CIS disciplines.
