The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship 2026 is now accepting applications. This fully funded 12-week international internship program allows undergraduate or combined undergraduate/master’s students to conduct research at Canadian universities between May and October. Financial Coverage

The Program Covers:

• Round-trip Airfare to/from Canada
• Airport Transfer to Accommodation Location in Canada.
• Stipend for Housing
• Health Insurance
• Stipend towards student enrollment fees up to a maximum of $300
• Stipend for Food and incidentals
• Support from student mentors on campus in Canada
• Registration for industry events and professional development courses
• Globalink Research Internship certificate of completion.

Eligible Countries, Universities, and Disciplines for the MITACS Globalink Research Internship

Eligible Countries: Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Mexico, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Taiwan, Tunisia, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Additionally, each country includes the names of the eligible universities. If your University name is included, then you are eligible. Check MITACS Eligibility.

Eligibility Criteria

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Meet the GPA requirements set for each country.
• Have at least one to three semesters left as of fall 2026.
• You are welcome to apply if you don’t currently have a valid passport.
• Obtain a reference letter from a professor.
• Updated CV.
• Obtain your academic transcripts (in either English or French).
• Apply to a minimum of three and a maximum of ten projects and ensure selections are from at least three different Canadian provinces.
• Passport Validity should be till January 2027.
