Applications are now open for the Malaysia International Scholarship (MIS) 2025. This program, launched by the Malaysian Government, aims to attract international students to pursue Master’s or PhD degrees at leading Malaysian higher education institutions. Financial Benefits

The MIS Scholarship Covers:

  • Tuition fees for the whole scholarship
  • Monthly living allowance of RM 1,500.00 per month. Applicants can easily cover monthly expenses in Malaysia with 700 or 800 Ringgits.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Nationality: Open to citizens of the specified eligible countries.
  • Program Type: Applicants must apply for full-time Graduate or Postgraduate programs.
  • Age Limit: Candidates must be no older than 40 years for Master’s programs and 45 years for PhD programs at the time of application.
  • Language Proficiency: An IELTS test is not required.

No, you cannot apply for the MIS scholarship without a passport.

Is it necessary to get acceptance from professors?

No. The acceptance letter is not mandatory.

Should you apply to the university or the scholarship first?

It is advisable to apply for the MIS scholarship first. This is because Malaysian universities charge an application fee. Securing the scholarship first will save you from this expense. Once you have received the scholarship, you can proceed with applying to the university of your choice from the list of 22 universities provided by the scholarship program.

What are the minimum IELTS and CGPA requirements?

The MIS scholarship does not require an IELTS test.
