Applications are now open for the Broad Summer Research Program (BSRP) 2026. This fully funded research opportunity is offered by the Broad Institute of Harvard and MIT. The program is open to U.S. citizens as well as non-U.S. citizens who have valid work authorization.
This 9-week summer program allows students to engage in biomedical research, especially those interested in genomics. Participants will also have the chance to attend seminars led by top scientists from Harvard and MIT.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have a strong interest in pursuing graduate school (Ph.D. or M.D.-Ph.D.).
  • Must be currently enrolled in a four-year U.S. college for Fall 2025.
  • Graduation Timeline: Must have a graduation date of December 2026 or later.
    • Accepted Majors: Must be majoring in:
    • Physical, biological, or computer sciences.
    • Engineering.
    • Mathematics.
  • Must have a minimum 3.2 GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Citizenship/Residency: Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or non-U.S. citizen with employment authorization.
  • No previous research experience is required.
  • Students with limited exposure to STEM are especially encouraged to apply.
